Description of the visit
This itinerary allows you to discover many of the inside courtyards hidden behind the facades of the Gothic and Renaissance mansions of Toulouse. This fascinating visit gives an insight into the different modes of construction of the past, as well as a look at the materials that were used. It also explains how fortunes were made from the pastel plant, used for the famous royal blue dye between the years 1460 and 1560.
Among the courtyards to be seen are; the Bernuy Mansion, the Hotel Assezat, the Delpech Mansion, the Brucelles Mansion, the Boysson Mansion.
Finally, the visit to the Delfau Mansion allows you to discover what is still produced with the famous blue dye pastel.
Please note
The itinerary of this visit and the courtyards that are visitable are subject to change. We try to assure the visit to all the interior courtyards on our itinerary by contacting the owners in advance.
If possible, do not plan this visit for a Sunday since the majority of the courtyards are not accessible.
The Delfau mansion is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

The meeting place with the guide
For each visit, we will decide together with you, and based on your needs, where the best place would be to begin the visit: the guide can either wait for or join up with the group.
At the group’s hotel if it is in the city center
At a restaurant if it is in the city center
In front of the Matabiau train station if a sightseeing coach tour of the city is on the program
In the city center at a location that is practical for the group.
Number of guides
The rates that we indicate are for a sole guide. If you wish, you may choose to have two or three guides in order to create smaller groups. The rate for the visit would then be multiplied by the number of groups you have planned on.
Please note that for the visits of Toulouse which are entirely by foot, we limit the number of participants to 50 for each guide retained. For more than 50 people, a second guide is necessary.
Our rates
The rates indicated for each visit are valid all year, including Sunday and most official holidays.
There are only three dates that require a double rate: New Year’s Day, the first of May and the 25th of December.
